Get Fit Running

Running is one of the best form of exercise to get fit and stay healthy. There is no age limit and you can start any time. Check with your doctor first. There are many benefits to running. Do you need to lose weight? Go run. Do you need to lower your blood pressure? Go run. Need a stronger heart? You get the idea. All you need to run is decent pair of running shoes and a road.

There are many different companies that make good running shoes. Nike running shoes and Adidas running shoes are two great examples of well known shoes that are well designed and durable. Each company makes several models of shoes as people have different body weights and types and even strides. Shoe companies come out with new kinds of shoes every year. The most important thing to remember is to find a good pair of shoes that is comfortable for you.

Depending on who you talk to or what you read, there are different basic workouts and there are things you should do to get started running right. I am a runner and I think the best advice I can give you is to pay attention to your body when you run. Make a plan to run for a short distance and then walk a short distance. Some runners recommend to put a time limit on it so you do not tire too quickly. Especially at first, aim for running for half an hour and take frequent walk breaks. As you get stronger and your body adjusts to running, gradually increase your time running. When you can run for the entire half hour, start to increase the time that you run. Increase your time gradually so that your body adjusts slowly.
